Teachers-in-Service is seeking an Executive Director who will maintain the current operation while developing and implementing a new aspirational operation, which s/he will then supervise and support. This will be accomplished while working alongside theFounder until the transition is complete.
Responsibilities
The executive director will adhere to the rules and policies for non-profit organizations as established by IRS, 501C3, and to the rules and policies of incorporation of a non-profit organization in the State of New Mexico.
The executive director will work alongside the Founder to affect the transition from TIS’s status to the new dynamic, proactive, and aspirational operation.
She/he will Work with the founder to recruit directors for various departments
She/he will Work with the founder to establish what each new director is to with her/his department. This may include the use of volunteers.
She/he will conduct a weekly staff meeting and maintain transparent and timely communication.
She/he will set in motion TIS becoming its own teacher sending organization.
She/he will Seek support to Address the monthly college debt repayment for new teachers
She/he will pursue school staff to work remotely during their time of home assignment to help TIS staff in the pursuit of more teachers for their schools.
She/he will pursue volunteers to help in the pursuit of teachers
