Executive Director Position
Teachers In Service, Inc.(TIS )is a non-profit, Christian organization that pursues teachers for children of Christian missionaries .
TIS has been doing this for 24 years as their contribution to the Great Commission of Christ by contributing to keeping missionaries on the field and on task by recruiting teachers for their children.
One of most common reasons missionaries leave the field is because of some education issue with the school in which their children are enrolled. One issue has to do with the need for teachers. See parent testimonies. teacher testimonies, and administrator testimonies.
The Director will work with existing staff to recruit a few leaders. These new leaders will work with existing leaders to increase the effectiveness of what TIS does by implementing TIS leader's ideas with those from new leaders and from the director.
Following are some of TIS leader's ideas:
- The Director, new leaders, and existing staff will recruit volunteers to work with them. The volunteers will work remotely with schools for children of missionaries to develop partnerships and strategies for the recruitment of teachers. They will use internet technology for recruiting teachers through the development of ads.
- Volunteers will send ads to various groups of potential teachers using internet technology. These groups include university students, adult children of missionaries, international Christian teachers, high school students, and current and former teachers.
- To further complement the relationship between TIS and schools, is for school staff to become involved with TIS by becoming remotely and actively involved with TIS during their time of home assignment.
- Address the monthly college education payback for new teachers.
